Our Story

As an advocate for translating scientific knowledge to the broader society, my wife Devika Andhare and I have started an initiative to arouse scientific curiosity in children by creating YouTube videos. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we shared our DIY science experiment videos with Utkarsha Vidyamandir, a primary school in the rural town of Wada in my home state of Maharashtra, India.

The videos were in my native language, Marathi, and are engaging and understandable for children. For example, we created a DIY microscope using a cell phone camera and a lens from a laser pointer. We continue to create content for children in regional Marathi language as well as English through our YouTube channel, @jidnyasa.vigyaan.
